ASLO Training on Child Rights & Inclusive Education

From September 8–13, 2025, a one-day training titled “Child Rights and Inclusive Education” was conducted for 400 members (300 men and 100 women) of local school councils across Pul-e-Khumri, Doshi, Tala wa Barfak, and Baghlan Jadid districts in Baghlan province.

Organized in close coordination with the Provincial Directorate of Education and supported by UNICEF, the training aimed to strengthen the role of school councils in promoting inclusive and child-friendly education.

Topics Covered:

• Fundamentals of child rights and international conventions

• Inclusive education for children with disabilities, girls, and marginalized groups

• Role of school councils in fostering safe, equitable, and supportive environments

• Strategies to prevent violence, discrimination, and exclusion in schools

Outcomes:

• Increased awareness of child rights among council members

• Strengthened role of councils in inclusive education

• Practical commitment to preventing violence and discrimination

• Enhanced community participation in education
