Agriculture & Livestock

Climate-smart agriculture, livestock, irrigation, and agribusiness support tailored to Afghanistan’s rural, smallholder-farmer context.

Sector 03

Building resilience from the field up

ASLO’s Agriculture and Livestock programming integrates agricultural productivity, food security, and climate resilience in an approach tailored to Afghanistan’s predominantly rural and smallholder-farmer context. Working with donors including ECHO/AKF, ECHO/NRC, CAFOD, and UNESCO, ASLO has implemented agricultural rehabilitation and skills development programs — including dairy, poultry, and vocational farming skills — alongside multi-year resilience programming in Nangarhar, Takhar, Maidan Wardak, Herat, and Badghis.
